Waterfall Bluff and Cathedral Rock
Departing from Port St Johns we travel north and after a short stop at a little waterfall and viewing one of the many shipwrecks, we arrive at Luphuthana, a beautiful little bay where some of the biggest waves on the Wild Coast can be seen.

Heading for Waterfall Bluff and Cathedral Rock we embark on a one hour hike viewing the magnificent coastline as the waves crash into the rocks creating a spray about 50ft high. Waterfall Bluff (a truly spectacular waterfall that falls directly into the ocean) and Cathedral Rock (a free standing cliff rising out of the sea) are two of the most prominent icons on the Wild Coast.
First stop are the Black Mamba pools where you may swim and take a break before heading to Cathedral Rock. After viewing Cathedral Rock we start the hike down to the Bluff, here you find caves where early sea gatherers took shelter, and the awesome Waterfall. Those who are brave can walk behind the falls or some can sit nearby in the spray.
After enjoying one of the special places along our coastline we take the hike back to Luphuthana where you have the opportunity to swim in the beautiful bay or just relax before being transported to your place of stay.
