Magwa Falls and Tea Estate
This Tour takes you North of Port St Johns through the steep mountains and deep valleys of Pondoland before reaching the tea plantations of the Magwa Tea Estate.
We visit the tea factory and are shown how the tea is processed and packaged and get the opportunity to buy some Magwa Tea in lovely metal boxes.
From there we drive further though the plantation down roads lined with trees planted by founders of the Estate, to Magwa Falls.
Magwa Falls is a truly spectacular waterfall that plunges 144 meters down into the gorge below.
We will have a light lunch at the falls exploring the small forest and different vantage points around the falls.
On our return we pass a popular basket stall where you get the opportunity to buy traditional grass baskets and mats.
